Our mission & guiding principles
Our art team develops an ongoing program with hand-picked, interdisciplinary artists from different fields of Architecture, Design, Fine Art and Interior & Graphic Design in order to develop innovative Art & Design lighting concepts.
We collaborate with established artists and offer emerging artists a platform for light-art in order to help enhance their public attention. It is our strong belief that talented and young artists should be promoted by production acquisition and presentation. Therefore, we welcome the participation of professors and students such as of the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig.
We want to bring the most creative and highest quality light objects and installations into living spaces.
Information towards collectors
We provide full transparency about the edition sizes of installations, and identify whether and how many copies are still available. This information is available on the product page. All of our artists have shown great dedication and are committed to the platform: we guarantee that installations are exclusively available through sygns and that there is no unmarked reproduction of the works. Property rights are therefore only owned by a small number of collectors.
In addition to the indicated number of pieces of an edition, there are two additional installations, the so-called artist proofs. The first copy lies in the portfolio of the artists and is used for exhibitions and public meetings. Thus, the notoriety of the artists and their work is fostered. The second artist proof is kept in the signs archive.
Collectors will receive a certificate of authenticity of the work which conforms to the international standard by which the world’s leading institutes abide by. The following information is denoted: format, date, sequential edition number and the size of the edition. All installations will be signed by hand.
In addition, collectors will receive information about the works of the entire edition, as well as background information on the individual artists.
